In 2010, AAMSI introduced the AN/APX-121 IFF Diversity Transponder next-generation, solid state, high-reliability IFF technology to the market.

For more than 30 years, AAMSI has repaired, manufactured and developed Mark XII Diversity Identification Friend or Foe systems for the US Government and approved foreign militaries. We repair the KY-532, APX-64, APX-72, APX-76, APX-77, APX-100, APX-101, APX-109, APX-110, APX-121 and UPX-39. We also manufacture APX-72, APX-77, APX-109, APX-101, UPX-39/AACU-Track and APX-121 systems.

AN/APX-121 IFF Transponder


The AAMSI APX-121 Mark XII IFF Diversity Transponder is the ideal replacement solution for obsolete transponders that cannot comply with new Mode S and Mode 5 mandates. The APX-121 is designed to meet the latest DoD AIMS and STANAG specifications. Design features include Mode S Elementary (ELS) and Enhanced (EHS) operation, support of existing KIT-1 or a removable KIV-77 supporting Modes 4 & 5. The APX-121 utilizes advanced RF and digital processing to increase reliability, maintainability and permit product options, such as, ADS-B (out/in). The APX-121 also offers interface flexibility through either an optional MIL-STD-1553B MUX BUS to the mission computer or RS-485 to a Remote Control Unit (RCU).

AN/APX-110 IFF Transponder


The AN/APX-110 Mark XII Diversity IFF Transponder was designed specifically for the USAF B-2 Spirit Bomber. AAMSI is licensed by Northrop Grumman Corporation to manufacture and repair the AN/APX-110 IFF Diversity Transponder.

AN/APX-109 CIT IFF SYSTEM


The AN/APX-109(V)XIII Combined Interrogator/Transponder integrates the interrogator, receiver-transmitter reply evaluator, synchronizer, transponder, COMSEC units, and control functions that have traditionally been housed in as many as seven units into a single package offering a significant savings in both space and weight. AAMSI is licensed by Northrop Grumman Corporation to manufacture and repair the AN/APX-109 CIT.

AN/APX-101 IFF Transponder


The Northrop Grumman AN/APX-101 Mark XII Diversity IFF Transponder is used in the A-10, E-3A, F-5E, F-15, F-16, F-20A and T-46A among other aircraft. AAMSI is licensed by Northrop Grumman Corporation to manufacture and repair the AN/APX-101 IFF Diversity Transponder.

AN/APX-100 IFF Transponder


The Raytheon AN/APX-100 Mark XII Diversity IFF Transponder is used on F/A-18, P-3, E-2C, F-14, UH-60, L-159, LCAC, OH-58, AH-1, MH-53, CH-47, C-130, C-5, C-17, C-141, C-21, MiG fighters, AH-64 and Mi helicopters, as well as UAVs, including, Hunter, Darkstar, Predator, and Global Hawk. AAMSI can repair select models of either the remote mount or panel mount AN/APX-100 IFF Diversity Transponders.

AN/APX-77 IFF Transponder


The Hazeltine AN/APX-77 Mark XII Diversity IFF Transponder was used in the F-5 and other aircraft. AAMSI was licensed by Hazeltine to manufacture and repair the AN/APX-77 IFF Diversity Transponder.

The Hazeltine AN/APX-76 IFF Interrogator was used in F-4, F-15, F-16, P-3C, EP-3E, E-2C, S-3A, SH-3G, SH-60B and other aircraft. AAMSI repairs the AN/APX-76 IFF Interrogator.

The Hazeltine AN/APX-64 IFF Transponder was standard in A-4, A-7, B-1, B-52, C-5, KC/RC-135, C-141, F/EF-111, O-2, A/T-37 and other aircraft. AAMSI repairs the AN/APX-64 IFF Transponder.

AN/UPX-39 INTERROGATOR


the AN/UPX-39 family of single channel or dual channel interrogators, which can replace aging IFF interrogators that can no longer be maintained. Built with modern, digital commercial-off-the-shelf equipment this product can be used for both military and civil applications. The AN/UPX-39 family meets Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Defense, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. It also complies with Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon IFF Mark XII Systems (AIMS) and Eurocontrol requirements for identification and air traffic control systems and it supports operating mode 1, 2, 3 and 4, mode A, B, C, D and mode S, with a growth path for Mode 5. AAMSI is licensed by Northrop Grumman Corporation to manufacture and repair AN/APX-39 Interrogators.

ACCU-Track MSSR INTERROGATOR


The civil ACCU-Track MSSR Air Traffic Control Interrogator has a 2,000 watts output, ISLS operation, three receiver channels, RSLS, GTC/STC, target extractor, and target tracker. It includes Mode S (level 2) Enhanced Surveillance and outputs digital target reports (plots) in ASTERIX formats over Ethernet to the radar data processor or air traffic control station. AAMSI is licensed by Northrop Grumman Corporation to manufacture and repair the ACCU-Track MSSR Interrrogator.
