Logistics

Aerospace and Defense customers around the world are looking for ways to mitigate the risk of complex supply chains; meet intensified delivery schedules; and reduce the costs of goods sold or purchased. As such, AAMSI’s experienced and agile workforce provides our customers best value sourcing, obsolescence, MRO and logistics services for high-mix, low- to-medium volume products. Our logistics support services will include access to a portfolio of organic licensed manufactured and repaired parts coupled with those of our qualified supplier networks. AAMSI is also ready and capable of supporting our customers by managing their global parts sourcing, inventory, system implementation and integration, and the obsolescence of parts and assemblies for legacy aircraft.

Sourcing and Obsolescence

AAMSI’s sourcing and obsolescence support capabilities provides customers of any size a single source for replacement parts and repair services. We manage the details and give our customers a one-stop shop for all of their needs. AAMSI provides our customers with access to large inventories of new and ready for issue spare parts. Utilizing AAMSI as the single or an alternative source for spare parts procurement & inventory management requirements will allow our customers to realize supply chain optimization. AAMSI’s sourced parts, repair services and engineering support keep our customers’ platforms flying longer and more economically, helping them to get the most life out of their aircraft.

Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul

AAMSI offers cost-effective repair and overhaul services utilizing not only our own facilities for electrical and hydraulic repairs, but those of our partner network of qualified repair stations globally. AAMSI provide spares, repairs and overhaul of systems and components for the most demanding requirements for defense and aerospace customer across 40 countries around the world. We are licensed by Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to repair state-of-the-art and legacy electronic systems, including, IFF systems. At AAMSI, we customize our support for each customer and seek to develop a strategic approach aimed at supporting a platforms ability to fly and meet mission requirements.

In 2020, AAMSI’s hydraulic repair shop won a 5-year contract from the US Army to overhaul the UH-60 main landing gear strut, P/N 70250-12051-045. This program, now in its third year, has been a great success for both our US Army customer and AAMSI.

Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) Management

With today’s financial challenges the requirement to extend the service life of legacy platforms is becoming more important and more complex than ever. Our dedicated Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) Management support services make sure our customers have the parts or kits they need and when they need it. To achieve this objective, we help our SLEP customers forecast their material kitting requirements and identify approved sources or alternative sources, address diminishing manufacturing capabilities and material shortages and conduct reverse engineering for parts without technical data or approved sources. We are also experienced in helping our customers develop alternative strategies for multiple commodity spares to offset the negative effect of aging aircraft and spares obsolescence.
